CASE STUDY

Conveniently located less than one mile from General Mitchell International Airport, this upscale hotel recognized the importance of staying in-tune with their guests needs and current hospitality trends. They contacted us to help with the renovation process of the lobby and lounge areas.

First impressions are the most important when it comes to the hospitality industry. As much as the staff and the service of the Clarion Hotel was always top notch, the decor lost its lush a long time ago. With a complete face-lift from new porcelain tile, carpeting, wall-covering, furnishings and accessories to a new reception desk area and cabinetry; the welcoming nature of the Clarion took a totally new meaning.

In addition to the lobby, the bar & lounge received a full renovation. The space was divided based on its use. One half provides a cozy lounge experience defined by low profile seating, velvet-soft and intricate textures as well as rich color choices. Just as the flooring application transitions from custom-colored carpet to the rich mahogany-stained cork tile floor, the mood of the space changes from relaxed to bar-hopping and energetic.

TESTIMONIAL

I worked with Aga on two commercial design projects. We worked on the lobby of the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Milwaukee. I had started the project and then realized I didn’t have the time or the resources.  So I hired Aga to help. We hit it off right away. She knew what I wanted and she handled it promptly. If she felt that my suggestions or ideas wouldn’t work with the design, she told me in a professional manner and we continued on. We exchanged ideas freely.

After the lobby, we continued with our lounge area in the lower level, next to the restaurant called the Cork ‘N Cleaver. That project involved opening up some walls and new furniture, flooring and a new back bar. She picked some unique products, like cork flooring and wallpaper. I feel that Aga has a great design sense, is very professional and can work within your budget. Our next project will be the public area in the Hotel and I will hire Aga to work with me on that project.

If you personally want to see Aga’s work, I invite you to come to The Clarion Hotel.
