NEW products from Design Bloggers Conference

Two fully-scheduled days of blogging related presentations at the Design Bloggers Conference in Los Angeles, left little time to socialize, but I wouldn’t be me, if I didn’t do some casual networking with such great vendors, sponsors and fellow professionals.

I now present to you a few products and people behind them, that if not for the conference, I don’t know if I would ever come across.

1. Tracy Porter, decor and accessories

This fellow Wisconsinite mesmerized the room with the positive energy and open mind during her presentation. I got a chance to speak with Tracy afterward, and believe me when I say it, she is a genuinely  passionate designer, business owner, crafter at www.tracyporter.com

2. Garay Artisans, painted mirrors

I set next to Regina, the co-owner of Garay Artisans and blogger at www.fauxology.com . I immediately fell in love with the hand-painted mirror samples she showed me. Upon some further research, I discovered the versatility and flexibility of this product. I look forward to specifying it on a future hospitality project.

3. Leviton, switch plates

Leviton, one of the sponsors of the conference, showed their newest product, which I believe has the potential to catch on very quickly. Who wouldn’t like to have an option of easily exchangeable switch plates. When you decide to repaint your office, or you bedroom, the switch plates are no longer a “sticking out like a sore thumb” issue. The colors of these are trendy and well coordinated. It takes a few snaps, and the replacement is done. So easy.
