Quite spontaneously, we have decided to drive to Minneapolis for the weekend. The closest I have ever been to the Twin Cities was The Great America Mall. Besides the super chilly weather, I was excited to experience Minneapolis, its metropolitan feel and flair. read more

The fresh and unexpected, Galway, Ireland

December 21st, 2010 No Comments

On our recent trip to Ireland, which was inspirational, relaxing, challenging and professionally enriching, we have spent a day in Galway. Located on the west coast of Ireland, it is a lovely, young and rapidly growing (third largest at the moment) city in the Republic. Perhaps due to its size, it is a friendly and convenient weekend getaway for the locals. We liked Galway and we loved the hotel we stayed at. Just wait to see the snap shots from The House Hotel. read more

As promised, I am one foot into my summer challenge. I am not only trying new dining places in the Bayview neighborhood and the Metro Milwaukee area, but also reviewing the service, the brand (signage, menu, advertising etc) and the interior. read more

CityFlats Hotel

Not by accident, my husband and I traveled two hundred and forty miles (one way) this weekend. We wanted to get away in celebration of my birthday for once. But also, being a hospitality interior designer and enthusiast myself, I was really excited to check out this fairly new LEED Gold Certified site. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to CityFlats Hotel in Holland, MI. read more
