Three years in business review
Happy Names Day and Happy 3rd Business Birthday to me! January 21st is an important day for me, both personally and professionally. Yes, being a European, I celebrate my Name Day. It is also when I officially registered my limited liability business entity, exactly three years ago. read more
Defining your strengths
I recently spoke to a class of graduating students of Interior Design major at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. I started the discussion with the importance of identifying one’s strengths and personal values, as basis for building The Brand of You. read more
Off we go. Year three.
January 21st marks the end of year two for me as a business owner. I remember this date very well, as it is also my Name Day. Cheers to a dual celebration! I have grown as a person. It was time. read more
Vacation on a beach
Travel is the best way to get inspiration. For work or pleasure, I always discover new designs and interesting architectural elements. This month, my husband and I ventured out to the south end of Florida, to unwind and get familiar with a new to us area. We picked Miami for two reasons: first of all, two of our favorite television shows (“Dexter” and “Burn notice”) are filmed in Miami. read more
Where do I go from here
In the past 14 months, I have lost a job, started a business, created a brand and promoted it at hundreds of events, places, variety of media and to a lot of different kinds of people. I did all kinds of work: from residential redesign projects, to commercial hospitality renovations, retail build-out, office face-lift, conceptual work and consultancy. I have pretty much done it all, and it is time to review the past and define the future. read more
