A Whole New Mind

What a great book! I can not stop raving about it. It took me a few months to get to this book, and now that I did, I am glad I found the time. A Whole New Mind is a great analysis of the changing world, conditions and new economical climate ahead. If you represent the creative community via occupation, hobby or interest, or to the contrary, never believed in the value or the power that creatives had to offer, be sure to read this fabulous, audacious and extraordinarily powerful book.

Daniel Pink presents a new way to look at our work and our future. Backed by a thorough research, his analysis of the Conceptual Age versus the Information Age is brilliant and mind-changing. He also makes a case that the Six Senses (Design, Story, Sympathy, Empathy, Play, Meaning) are the new most important aptitudes that one’s personal success and accomplishment will depend on.

A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future

If this doesn’t convince you, perhaps a few of the best quotes from the book will:

“We’ve progressed from a society of farmers to a society of the factory workers to a society of knowledge workers. And now we are progressing once again – to a society of creators and emphathizers, of pattern recognizers and meaning makers”.

“Left-brain-style thinking use to be the driver and right-brain-style thinking the passenger. Now, R-Directed Thinking is suddenly grabbing the wheel, stepping on the gas, and determining where we are going and how we will get there”.

This is just a sneak peek. I encourage you to pick up this book and find out how great it is for yourself.

I love it, too. There is a live synopsis of the book, by the author, if you ever want to hear it.

    Hi Aga,

I, too, was turned on to ‘A Whole New Mind’ by Daniel Pink. I haven’t finished it yet, but the reading so far has been inspiring and provides an incredible perspective on what is coming for our society and our culture with its very human approach.

    Thanks for sharing.
